Numenera by Daniel
Plentiful among the flora of the Ausren Woods, maake trees range between 40 – 70 feet tall with broad, hexagonal leaves which reflect light. During the hours between even and morning, the leaves emit a subtle blue aura.
Maake groves are popular places to gather fruit. Once every few days each tree bears a small baskets-worth of juicy, purple fruits. In the hours before bearing fruit, the trees begin an irregular humming pattern and their leaves flare-up in a variety of colors.
